24 SOLAR TERM
This is an artwork about 24 solar terms. Combining the concept of 24 solar terms from our Chinese culture and the kaleidoscope pattern from western. Constructing patterns for solar terms with symmetrical kaleidoscope patterns.
HEIRS OF THE DRAGON
Inspired by the TV show “Travel with Rivals” by Viu TV and influenced by Ann Chiang Lai Wan’s performance of “Heirs of the Drangon”. My idea came out. It is a game with Ann Chiang’s dancing based on her song. Player need to click the “UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT” when the arrow reach the cutting line. The score will be counted and final grade will be generated after the whole game play.
BELIEF
"The more we worship, the more we could be protected."
More conflicts and controversy appear in Hong Kong, while these social issue got no way to solve, worshipping gods become a last solution to tackle these problems "Belief" is a temple which has three gods there to protect our Hong Kong.
Interactive installation - The name card served as an amulet which allow audience to take away after worshipping to the temple. Audience can choose to stick the amulet on the temple or even everywhere.
ON SUM FUN GAAO
OnSumFunGaao(OSFG), which means to sleep peacefully in Cantonese, is the name of the art project. It is a imaginary religion aims to help Hong Kong people to eliminate their fear and worries so that they can take a good sleep at night.
Inspired by the Pastafarianism, the church of Flying Spaghetti Monster to create this religion. OSFG was created to lampoon the Hong Kong Government and be sarcastic towards the current Hong Kong issues so as to express the sense of helplessness.
OSFG has its own aims, concepts and rituals, just as all the major religions in the world. This religion is created by an almighty god who leads other sub gods to save and protect Hong Kong’s core values. Each of them has its own role and abilities to fight against Hong Kong people’s worries and fears.
